Zan is a minor character on WB sci-fi series Roswell. He is the human son of the alien-human hybrids Tess Harding and Max Evans.
Plot[]
While pregnant, Tess leaves Earth for her home planet.[1] Tess gives birth on their home plant, and she names the baby Zan after Max's original self, the deceased king of the planet Antar.
Tess later returns to Earth with Zan, who was rejected as heir to the throne on their homeworld and would have been killed if they stayed.[2] To Tess's surprise and horror, Zan was human; it seemed as though the Royal Four were only capable of passing on their human DNA.
After Tess's death, Max decides to give Zan up for adoption. That way, Zan will have a normal human life, which Max never managed to have. Thanks to the help of Max's father Philip Evans, Max made sure that Zan would be adopted by a good family.[2]
